'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar' actor Mamik Singh gets engaged to Meenakshi Sagar, the grand daughter of Ramanand Sagar

The 55 yr old TV and film actor Mamik Singh, most popularly known for playing Aamir Khan's elder brother in 1992 superhit movie has finally exchanged rings in a surprise engagement ceremony on Holi with TV producer Meenakshi Sagar after their 'hidden' relationship of 18 years. Meenakshi has been making it to news in recent years in regard with her hot and bold daughter Sakshi Chopra who's an Internet sensation.

Meenakshi Sagar aka Tachi Sagar who's the grand daughter of 'Ramayana' maker Ramanand Sagar and has been a Single Mom, just announced her engagement to actor Mamik with pictures and videos on her Instagram on the festival of Holi. Filmy Monkey is the first to break this news. Menakshi also reveals that the two have been 'secretly' dating for the longest time i.e. 18 years before deciding to finally tie the knot. Her first post was the picture of them flaunting their engagement rings and she wrote with it - "Okayyy so we finally did it after 18 years!!! #mamiksingh #holiengagement#loveisintheair #happyholi".

This was followed by a video of Mamik hiding his face with both hands right after sliding the ring into her finger. She captioned this one - "The runaway groooom ???????????????? @sakshichopraa @thenative__ @skyrinaa#mamiksingh #holiengagement#loveisintheair #happyholi" Ahem! So she addresses him as "the runaway groom"! Looks like it took not Meenakshi, but Mamik to finally decide to take this huge step.

Her third video had Meenakshi putting ring on Mamik's hand in return.. the right hand first by mistake! She explains what was happening in the message that reads - "@sakshichopraa the left hannnd!! ????????????????????????????????????????" Daughter Sakshi was present at the occasion too.

Daughter Sakshi also posted multiple Holi pictures with her friends and Mom with her to-be Step Dad Mamik announcing their surprise engagement. She wrote - "#holi2018???? Mum’s surprise engagement???? Thank u to everyone that came & drank like shit. It has honestly been an amazing day love u" Mom also chose to thank daughter dear for making her day special by commenting on it.. A friend asked congratulating Meenakshi "Congrats... When is the big day?", the happy lady answered "Sooooon". So we  hear the wedding bells too and the couple is set to get married any time soon too. You mustn't have read much about Mamik in the recent times so here are a few updates.

After appearing on 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar' as the much loved character of 'Ratan', Mamik went unnoticed in the projects further but came back into limelight with the 'Deva' of Tv show 'Chandrakanta' and 'Vikraal 'of 'Ssshhhh...Koi Hai'. Mamik even had a lull in his career due to drug addiction too which he fought well and won over in 2007. He made a comeback with DD's 'Chandramukhi' then. He had said in an interview in the same year with TOI - "I got into wrong company and was stuck in the cobweb of drugs. I have experienced the effects of the most ruthless kinds of drugs. That entire phase was responsible for the lull in my career. My family life was ruined and my life was absolutely chaotic. But thanks to God, good wishes of friends, blessings of elders and my strong genes, that I fought back and today I am totally out of it." He was also seen in the pivotal role of Preity Zinta's elder brother in 'Kya Kehna' in 2000. Meenakshi on the other hand made headlines for the first time in 2014 when she lodged a complaint against 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar' fame hottie Pooja Bedi. Pooja had been booked by the Mumbai police under Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act too. The issue was between both their daughters Sakshi and Alia Furniturewalla who studied in the same school and got into regular fights, post which the mothers also had a nasty tiff in a pub. Matter resolved after Alia had apologized.
