Fighter: India Gets Its First Aerial Action Franchise In Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone's Film
Fighter, which is slated to hit the silver screens in 2022, will be shot in foreign locations.
Mumbai: Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will be seen sharing screen-space for the first time in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’. The upcoming film, which was announced on Hrithik’s birthday, will be India’s first aerial action franchise. Viacom 18 Studios has joined hands with Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb and Anku Pande to produce the much-awaited flick.
The official Twitter handle of Viacom 18 Studios shared a video on social media to inform the fans that ‘Fighter’ will be India’s first aerial action franchise.
“After a decade of entertaining you with hits that are close to your heart, we are all set to up the ante of your cinematic experience! Get ready to witness India’s first aerial action franchise #Fighter with @iHrithik and @deepikapadukone,” the tweet read.
Hrithik Roshan has earlier worked with Siddharth Anand in ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘War’. Both the films emerged as box office hits. Movie buffs are quite excited to see the fresh pairing of Deepika and Hrithik for the first time on the silver screen.
According to Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, ‘Fighter’ will be shot in several foreign locations. He tweeted, “#Fighter salutes the valour, sacrifice, patriotism of our armed forces.” The movie will arrive in the cinema halls in 2022.
Deepika Padukone’s Upcoming Projects
The ‘Padmaavat’ actress will be next seen in Kabir Khan’s 83’, which is based on India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup victory. She is essaying the role of Ranveer Singh’s on-screen wife in the sports drama.
Deepika has several exciting projects in her kitty including Shakun Batra’s upcoming film, Nag Ashwin’s next project and the remake of ‘The Intern’.
Talking about Hrithik, the actor will make his return to the big screen with 'Fighter' after three long years as his last film 'War' released in 2019. Trade pundits are expecting 'Fighter' to create ripples on the box office and set the cash registers jingling.
