‘Let’s Not Waste Time And Quickly #BoycottFood’: Taapsee Pannu On Farmer’s Protest In Delhi

New Delhi: On Friday afternoon, after hours of confrontation and talks with the farmers, the Delhi Police finally allowed them to enter the union territory for carrying their protest against the Centre’s Farm Laws. Reacting to this news, Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu took to her Twitter and wrote, “Chalo now let’s not waste time and quickly #BoycottFood come on twitter you can do it” ‘Let’s Not Waste Time And Quickly #BoycottFood’: Taapsee Pannu On Farmer’s Protest In Delhi The farmers earlier entered into a conflict with the Delhi police where there was a mild lathi-charges and some rounds of tear gas shells were also used along with water cannons to push the farmers from Singhu and Tikri borders along Delhi-Haryana. Around 500 farmers’ organisations from six states including Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Kerala had planned the protest for two months to press the Central government to abrogate the recently enacted farm laws. Meanwhile, Taapsee recently posted a screenshot of a chat on Instagram Stories. In the screenshot, the troll can be seen calling her a ‘faltu heroine’, slut-shaming her and adding that she can't act in films. Taapsee Pannu started her career in the Hindi film industry with comedy movie ‘Chashme Baddoor’ in the year 2013. However, her work gained recognition with the courtroom drama ‘Pink’ in the year 2016. The ‘Badla’ actress then went on to star in several films and have received critical acclamation for her performances in ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, ‘Thappad’ and others. The ‘Judwaa 2’ actress will be next seen starring in ‘Haseen Dillruba’, ‘Shabaash Mithu’, ‘Loop Lapeta’, ‘Rashmi Rocket’ and a South film opposite Vijay Setupathi.
