Coronavirus Effect: Aamir Khan & Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ Pushed, Film Likely To Release In 2021?
‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is slated to hit the silver screens during Christmas 2020; however, writer Atul Kulkarni said that it is likely to release next year.
New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the functioning of several countries of the world including India. The COVID-19 has brought the country’s mega film industry to a standstill. The shooting for all films, TV shows and ads have been halted due to the lockdown, which was imposed to stop the further spread of the deadly virus. The release dates of several films including ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘83’ and ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ have been delayed.
We had earlier informed you that Salman Khan’s much-awaited film ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ won’t be able to release during Eid. As per the latest buzz, another high-profile movie is likely to miss its release date. We are talking about Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
The film co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan has been making waves ever since the project was announced. The Advait Chauhan directorial is slated to hit the silver screens during Christmas 2020.
If a recent report in an entertainment portal is to go by, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ might get pushed to next year due to Coronavirus pandemic. The makers are yet to complete the movie’s shooting.
The film’s writer Atul Kulkarni, while talking to the portal, said the Aamir Khan starrer would release in 2021.
“Laal Singh Chaddha, I think, would release next year now. We were supposed to release in December,” Atul told Pinkvilla.

‘Laal Singh’ Chaddha’ is the Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks starrer ‘Forrest Grump’. This will be Aamir and Kareena’s third film together after ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Talaash: The Answers Lie Within’.
Fans have been missing Aamir on the silver screen as he was last seen in ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ in 2018. The movie turned out to be damp at the box office.
