Alia REACTS to Haters who criticize her role in Udta Punjab!

Alia Bhatt will be seen playing a role of a migrant labour from Bihar in her upcoming film Udta Punjab. While the trailer of the Udta Punjab is getting appreciation, Alia's character in the film has received some mixed response. Such has been the case that an open letter has been written to her where her portrayal of the character has been severly criticised. Alia-Bhatt-Udta-Punjab Also: WATCH ‘Udta Punjab’ TRAILER! Shahid, Kareena, Alia and Diljeet are here to tell the unsaid tale of Punjab in this dark edgy trailer! The letter whichwent viral, had criticesd Alia for her portrayal of a Bihari in ''Udta Punjab''. It accused Alia of stereotyping Biharis, their language, and appearance in a negative manner. The letter also talked about how Alia's protrayal of the character is putting the Bihari's in a bad light. Also: Alia Bhatt goes three shades darker in ‘Udta Punjab’ Alia Bhatt plays an aspiring hockey player from Bihar stuck in Punjab as a labourer. It seems Alia took notice of the letter and sent an interesting reply to it. The actress took to Twitter to share what she felt about the issue.
