Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Remembers 'Dance Guru' Saroj Khan, Says 'You Will Truly Be Missed'

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared a still from the film 'Taal' to pay tribute to Saroj Khan.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to social media to share a heartfelt post for veteran choreographer Saroj Khan, who passed away after a cardiac arrest on Friday (July 3). Khan, regarded as one of the finest choreographers in the film industry, left for her heavenly abode at the age of 71. Several tinsel town celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Shilpa Shetty mourned the demise of Masterji. The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actress posted a photo with Saroj Khan on her official Instagram hande. The still is from he film 'Taal', which released in 1999. She said that she had ‘many memorable experiences’ while working under Saroj Khan’s guidance. Aishwarya wrote, “ALL my Love Always too, Saroj ji.May your Soul Rest in Peace. Much respected, admired and adored as our Dance Guru in our Film Industry...truly a Legend...Such a privilege to have had so many memorable experiences dancing under your guidance...THANK YOU for All your Duas and Blessings always... and so much LOVE. You will truly be missed. Prayers and much Strength to all your family.”
Saroj Khan had choreographed songs for several films starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles. She collaborated with the former Miss World for films like 'Devdas', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Guru' and 'Taal'. The prolific choreographer won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for Devdas' 'Dola Re Dola'. The evergreen song featured Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai.
The legendary choreographer was admitted to Guru Nanak hospital in Mumbai last month after she complained of breathing issues. Saroj Khan suffered a cardiac arrest in wee hours of Friday morning. She was laid to rest in a cemetery in Malad. "Thank you for all your messages and for keeping Mummy in your prayers. Given the current COVID-19 situation, there will be no prayer meet.
