After Facing NCB, Deepika Padukone Returns To Sets Of Shakun Batra's Next, Resumes Shoot With Siddhant Chaturvedi & Ananya Panday

Deepika Padukone reportedly shot for a light-hearted scene with co-stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday for her upcoming film.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who hogged all the limelight after her WhatsApp chats surfaced during the NCB's investigation, has resumed shooting for her upcoming film with Shakun Batra in Goa. The 'Padmaavat' actress reportedly returned to Goa on October 7 to finish the schedule of her next movie. According to a report in a leading daily, Deepika shot for a light-hearted scene with her co-stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She joined the film's cast on Thursday. When DP was in Mumbai, the director Shakun Batra shot the scenes featuring Ananya and Siddhant, the report added. "Deepika was in good spirits as she joined the unit last Thursday. Since there had been a 10-day-plus break, Shakun wanted her to ease into the process. She shot a light-hearted scene with Siddhant and Ananya," a source told Mid-Day. Although, Shakun Batra is yet to reveal the details about the film, the report in the daily said that the story will focus on two young couples, who go on a road trip. Sounds interesting, doesn't it? Talking about Deepika, the Narcotics Control Bureau summoned the 'Piku' actress after 'WhatsApp drug chats' with manager Karishma Prakash came to the fore during their investigation. The agency questioned  the 'Tamasha' star for around five hours on September 26 in Mumbai. Along with Deepika, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were also summoned by NCB. On the professional front Deepika will be next seen in Kabir Khan's '83' opposite Ranveer Singh. She is playing his on-screen wife in the sports drama. The highly-anticipated movie is based on India's 1983 Cricket World Cup Victory. The flick was originally slated to hit the silver screens on April 10, 2020; however, the producers decided to postpone the release date due to the COVID-19 crisis. According to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, '83'might release during Christmas 2020. The makers are yet to make any official announcement.
