Amid the rising Covid-19 cases in Mumbai, filmmaker Farah Khan recently came under scanner and was massively trolled for not following covid-19 protocol. A video of Farah buying mangoes in the city is now viral and what caught everyone’s attention was the ‘Happy New Year’ director pulling her face mask down as she smells the mangoes.
This gesture of Farah didn't go down well with netizens as they blasted the director for being irresponsible amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In the viral video, the filmmaker is can be seen sniffing mangoes to make sure whether the mangoes are ripe. Farah can be seen asking the vendor to give her the best mangoes. Watch the video here:

Another said, “Mask utaar ke aam kaun soonghta hai COVID time mei wo bhi Maharashtra mein (Why would anyone remove their mask and smell mangoes, that too during Covid times in Maharashtra) !! oh bhai maro mujhe (Lord help me)! Another user showed concern for the filmmaker saying, 'she should not be smelling the mango due to corona. So many people might have touched or smell it before her'.
Sadly, this comes a day after at least seven hawkers from a vegetable market in Dadar area of Mumbai tested positive for coronavirus during random testing carried out by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
