Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed a baby girl on Sunday, September 8. Deepika was admitted to the hospital just a day earlier, around 5:00 p.m. The actor and Ujjala Padukone, her mother, were brought to the Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai.

Earlier, Ranveer and Deepika went to the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai to seek blessings. They celebrated the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi by visiting the sacred temple. Deepika and Ranveer were both wore traditional outfits. Ranveer chose an off-white kurta pyjama. On the other hand, Deepika donned an exquisite emerald green saree. On X (previously known as Twitter), a debate has been triggered by Deepika's choice to not wear a mangalsutra, a traditional neckpiece worn by married women.

Lol I live in Newport Beach and never lived in India and I wear a mangalsutra (added Tulsi to it as well) and sindoor… and I’m not married to someone of Indian heritage…I don’t get it… Vedic Sanskriti is gorgeous and builds bonds/mental wellness! 🙏🏼

Mangalsutra isn't even a complusory thing in many Hindu cultures, forget it being necessary to wear in temples. If you can't even fathom the basic diversity & non-complusive nature of Hindu culture, you should just stfu. She is decently enough dressed, which is all that matters.
