Ajay Devgn has been associated with Vimal for many years now.

New Delhi: Ajay Devgn has taken a stand regarding his association with a tobacco brand advertisement.

The tobacco brand, Vimal already had Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan as brand ambassadors. Akshay's recent association with the brand caused a massive uproar among fans.

Last year, Shah Rukh Khan also became Vimal's brand ambassador and appeared in an ad featuring the product with Ajay. Last week, Shah Rukh and Ajay appeared together to tease Akshay's entry.Once Akshay's ad aired, his fans and audiences criticized the move.

Akshay Kumar then took to his Instagram account to share an apology note that said he will be more mindful of his choices in the future.

Ajay has been associated with Vimal for many years now. So much that his name has become synonymous with it.

In a recent interaction with Indian Express, where Ajay Devgn was promoting his upcoming film 'Runway 34', he was asked about the association with Vimal. In response Ajay said, “It is a personal choice. When you do something, you also see how harmful it would be. Somethings are harmful, some are not. I would say it without naming it because I don’t want to promote it; I was doing elaichi. What I feel is more than advertisements, if certain things are so wrong, then they should not be sold.”
