ABP Studios’ Marathi Feature Film ‘Karkhanisanchi Waari’ To Premiere On Sony LIV On December 10

‘Karkhanisanchi Waari’ also received acclamation from international film critics and bagged an award as one of the Best 5 films at the Tokyo International Film Festival.

New Delhi: Marathi feature film, ‘Karkhanisanchi Waari’ (Ashes on a Road Trip), which has been co-produced by ABP Studios, is all set to stream on the OTT platform Sony LIV. The movie will premiere on December 10, 2021.

‘Karkhanisanchi Waari’ was also invited to prestigious screenings that took place in New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Toronto, Stuttgart and London. The movie also received acclamation from international film critics and bagged an award as one of the Best 5 films at the Tokyo International Film Festival. ‘Karkhanisanchi Waari’ was also screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), held in Goa on 23rd January 2021.

‘Karkhanisanchi Waari’ features a star-studded ensemble cast including Dr. Mohan Agashe, Amey Wagh, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vandana Gupte, Shubhangi Gokhale, Pradeep Velankar and Pradeep Joshi.

While opening up about the premiere of the film on Sony Liv, and other significant achievements of ‘Karkhanisanchi Waari’, Dr. Mohan Agashe, said, “The purpose behind any film shouldn’t only be entertainment, it should make you think or ponder upon situations around you and that’s what this film does in a brilliant way.”

Helmed by Mangesh Joshi, ‘Karkhanisanchi Waari’ is a funny, heartfelt story about a dysfunctional ‘last joint family of Pune,’ which takes a comic look at death.

Marathi film actor Amey Wagh, who is also a part of the film, said about the film, “All the characters in the film are relatable to all-age groups. Viewers can easily relate to the situations in the film with their day-to-day conflicts amongst families.”

Produced by Archana Borhade (Nine Archers Picture Company) and co-produced by Zulfia Waris (ABP Studios), the movie’s plot is packed into a Maruti Omni on a road trip from Pune to Pandharpur to fulfil the last wishes of the family’s beloved patriarch.
