UP Polls | No ‘Bahubali’ In UP Under BJP Regime: Amit Shah Escalates Attack On Opposition

“This time Pakistan forgot that there is a BJP government and attacked in Uri and Pulwama, but we carried out airstrikes in Pak's territory within 10 days,” he said addressing a rally in Jaunpur.

New Delhi: Reiterating his assertion that there is no “bahubali” in Uttar Pradesh under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday appealed to the people of Uttar Pradesh to cast their votes in favour of those committed to development of Uttar Pradesh.

Launching a vitriolic attack on the former UPA regime, Shah said Pakistan killed the Indian soldiers during the government led by "Sonia Gandhi" and "Manmohan Singh" with the Samajwadi Party's support.

“This time Pakistan forgot that there is a BJP government and attacked in Uri and Pulwama, but we carried out airstrikes in Pak's territory within 10 days,” he said addressing a rally in Jaunpur.

Asserting the BJP has been able to eliminate criminals from Uttar Pradesh in the last five years, Shah said there has been a significant reduction in crimes in the state as compared to earlier.

“We have started the journey to make Uttar Pradesh a crime free state,” he added.

The Union Home Minister said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has freed land worth 2,000 crores from the possession of the state’s land mafia.

“Narendra Modi government is doing the construction of houses for the poor on this land,” he added.

Shah also cornered the Samajwadi Party over the Covid-19 vaccine provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.

He added that the leaders making noise over these issues have no right to be in electoral politics.

Voting for the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly is being held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7.

The counting of votes will be held on March 10.
