Nitish Kumar Was Offered This Post In Government In Lieu Of His Support To INDIA. Here's What JD-U Claims
Nitish Kumar's party claims he was offered a plum post by the INDIA bloc for his support, but he declined it, choosing to support Modi and the NDA.
A day before the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nitish Kumar's JD(U) has made a startling claim. Party leader KC Tyagi on Saturday said that the top government post was up for Nitish Kumar's taking if he chose to join the INDIA bloc. Claiming that the INDIA bloc offered Nitish Kumar the Prime Minister's chair, KC Tyagi told ABP News that Nitish Kumar is not one to be swayed at this point and will stay with the BJP-led NDA.
KC Tyagi said that the PM has sent a message to all those who questioned the election process and EVMs. "JDU and Chandrababu Naidu's TDP contested the elections as part of the NDA under PM Modi. We have extended our support to the leadership of PM Modi for the next 5 years," he said.

Tyagi's claim came a day after Narendra Modi was elected the leader of the Lok Sabha and the leader of the BJP and NDA in the House.
On Saturday, the Congress is conducting its CWC meeting to elect the Leader of the Parliamentary committee and the Leader of the party in Lok Sabha. While Sonia Gandhi is likely to be elected as the parliamentary committee chairperson, Congress leaders have demanded that Rahul Gandhi be the party's leader and the INDIA bloc's leader in Lok Sabha.

Nitish Kumar — The Kingmaker
After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, CM Nitish Kumar came to the limelight as his haul of 12 seats cemented his position as the 'kingmaker'. He reportedly got offers from the INDIA bloc but chose to stand with the NDA. He supported the NDA and also submitted his letter of support to Narendra Modi. No single party could manage to get the 'magic number' of 272 seats to form the government. Earlier, the BJP alone had an absolute majority. This time, the government is going to be formed with the help of the NDA constituents.
Due to this, the importance of the constituent parties has increased. Everyone's eyes are fixed on CM Nitish. Meanwhile, while going from Patna to Delhi, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was seen in the flight with CM Nitish. After this picture, the heat of politics in Bihar as well as the country had increased.
