BJP Candidate Parvesh Verma On New Delhi Seat Showdown: 'Arvind Kejriwal May Run Away As He...'

Delhi Election 2025: BJP leader Parvesh Verma challenges AAP's Arvind Kejriwal to contest in the New Delhi assembly constituency, claiming he might "run away" from the seat.

Delhi Election 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Parvesh Verma has openly challenged his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rival, Arvind Kejriwal, as he prepares to contest against the former Delhi chief minister in the New Delhi assembly constituency.

Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Verma said, "I just hope Arvind Kejriwal doesn't run away from the New Delhi seat because people have elected him thrice and he has to give an account of what he has done. We feel he may run away as he has done nothing in 11 years. He has cheated people thrice."

He added, "I want to take all the people of Delhi to see Sheesh Mahal. I am writing a letter to CM Atishi to open the doors of Sheesh Mahal because the people of Delhi want to see what happened to the tax they paid."

Parvesh hit out at the AAP chief over pollution woes in Delhi as he further announced plans to set up a camp to provide employment letters to many residents of New Delhi.

The BJP has also fielded notable candidates such as Ramesh Bidhuri in Kalkaji against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. Reacting to Bidhuri's candidature, Atishi remarked, "Ramesh Bidhuri has been an MP from South Delhi for 10 years. His party did not consider him worthy of giving him an MP ticket based on his work. When his party does not trust Ramesh Bidhuri's work, how will the people of the Kalkaji assembly constituency trust him?"

The BJP's candidate list includes Dushyant Gautam for Karol Bagh, Manjinder Singh Sirsa for Rajouri Garden, Kailash Gehlot for Bijwasan, and Arvinder Singh Lovely for Gandhi Nagar, among others.
