Both Congress, BJP Looted State Alike: Kejriwal Addresses Public Rally In Chhattisgarh Ahead Of Assembly Polls

Addressing a public rally at Science College Ground in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur, Arvind Kejriwal said the state is known for corruption and scams at present.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday blew the poll bugle for Aam Aadmi Party in Chhattisgarh on Sunday and targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress governments. Addressing a public rally at Science College Ground in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur, the Aam Aadmi Party national convenor said, "At present, Chhattisgarh is known for corruption and scams. Both the Congress and BJP looted the state alike." Kejriwal's rally comes just days after Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda held a public meeting in the state which is due for assembly polls this year.

"Chhattisgarh is now known for corruption…both BJP and Congress looted this state. Earlier, before AAP came into power, Delhi was the same, before AAP came into power…once AAP came into power in Delhi, Delhi is known for its schools and mohalla clinics, Delhi is known for its development,” Kejriwal said.

This is the second big rally that the AAP convenor has held in Chhattisgarh after he held one in March this year.

Ahead of the rally, state party in charge, Sanjeev Jha told ABP News that the preparations were complete and party supporters and people of Chhattisgarh were excited for the mega rally by Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann. He also said that people of Chhattisgarh like Kejriwal and Mann's model of governance.

"I believe that tomorrow more than one lakh people are coming to Bilaspur. People in Chhattisgarh like Aam Aadmi Party's model of governance in Delhi and Arvind Kejriwal's in Punjab. The people here want Chhattisgarh to get the development model like Delhi and Punjab," Jha said.

Targetting the previous Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress dispensations, Jha said, "The people here are looking at the Aam Aadmi Party as an alternative. They feeling cheated after three misrules by the BJP and then by giving a chance to the Congress."

Bilaspur is considered to be the biggest division in terms of seats in the state Assembly and AAP's rally is being seen as crucial in giving a fight to the existing parties. Consisting of 24 legislativs seats, currenlty, Congress has 13 seats, BJP has 7, two each are with Jogi Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party, although after Dharmjit Singh parted ways with Jogi Congress the party was left with just one seat.
