Ashok Poojary, the activist BJP declared 'murdered', is alive

The BJP general secretary Shobha Karandlaje had alleged that many BJP workers and Hindu activists have been killed in Karnataka. She also released a list of their names.

New Delhi: A fresh revelation has put a big question mark on the BJP ahead of the Karnataka Assembly elections. A Hindu activist declared 'murdered' by BJP in Karnataka, was reportedly found alive and he is even ready to cast his vote this election. The BJP general secretary  Shobha Karandlaje had alleged that many BJP workers and Hindu activists have been killed in Karnataka. She also released a list of their names. Surprisingly Ashok Poojary,  the name that tops the list  of murdered activists is actually alive, as per the reports. BJP claims that the 23 names enumerated have been killed by Jihadi forces in the past four years in Karnataka. As per reports, Poojary is alive and is in a village in Udupi district near Mangalore. Although Poojary has accepted being attacked in the year 2015  by bikers for being associated with Hindutva organisations. He was identified because he had wrapped a saffron cloth on his head. Poojary was critically injured and was admitted in the intensive care unit for over a fortnight, but he recovered, NDTV reported. BJP however continues to go on with its list of 23 workers killed. The state government has refuted the allegations saying of the 23 deaths, 14 did not have any Muslim connection. Most of the deaths , they said, was a result of personal enmity or suicide.
