ABP CVoter UP Exit Poll 2022 Highlights: As voters, political parties, and candidates eagerly wait for the UP assembly election result, ABP News with CVoter brings you the most accurate Exit Polls.

ABP-CVoter Exit Poll 2022: The Bharatiya Janata Party is poised to retain Uttar Pradesh, though with a lesser margin than 2017's 312 seats, according to ABP News-CVoter exit poll results.

ABP News-CVoter has predicted that BJP will win anywhere between 228-244 seats. The Samajwadi Party will come second, bagging 132-148 seats. 

Despite low key campaigning, Mayawati's BSP will win 13-21 seats while Congress will get 4-8 seats. The majority mark is at 202 in the 403-member UP assembly.

The 403-member UP assembly went to the polls in seven phases that started on February 10, while the seventh and last phase was on Monday, March 7. The  Election Commission of India (ECI) will declare the verdict on March 10.

During the 7-phase UP polls, political parties left no stones unturned to woo voters. Electioneering saw the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) with its alliance partner RLD pitted against each other. The Congress, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and other parties also campaigned aggressively to make the fight in UP multi-cornered.

UP Assembly Election 2017

In the UP assembly election 2017, BJP came to power with a thumping majority. BJP on its own was able to gain 312 assembly seats. The closest runner-up was SP under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav. SP was only able to get 47 assembly seats. Former CM Mayawati-led BSP only won 19 seats and Congress won 7.

In the 2017 UP assembly election, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) secured 1 assembly seat, Apna Dal (Soneylal) got 9, Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal got 1, Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party won 4 and 3 independents also were winners.
