Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi on Friday announced that Sunita will be campaigning for the party with her first roadshow to be held today, April 27, and another in the West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency on April 28.
Following Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case related to the now-defunct Delhi liquor policy in March, Sunita had assumed a more prominent role in AAP’s campaigning.
Since the CM’s arrest, Atishi and other party leaders have alleged that the arrest was a ploy to prevent Kejriwal from campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls.
According to the latest court order, Kejriwal is set to remain in judicial custody until May 7.
