IGNOU Convocation 2024: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) holds its 37th convocation at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre today, February 20, 2024. The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar was the chief guest. The proceedings of the convocation were telecasted live on IGNOU’s Gyan Darshan Channel, Swayam Prabha Channels for Higher Education Managed by IGNOU and streamed live through the Facebook Page of IGNOU (facebook.com/OfficialPageIGNOU).

At the 37th convocation of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduate students, their families, teachers and friends. He talked about the significance of hard work and dedication that led them to this remarkable milestone.

In his address, VP Jagdeep Dhankhar highlighted the importance of the convocation ceremony, describing it as much more than just an event. He said that it marks a milestone in the students' lives, an unforgettable moment that signifies their academic journey.

"India's position as the largest and most functional democracy globally, underscoring the country's commitment to inclusivity and participation," VP Jagdeep Dhankhar said.

VP Jagdeep Dhankhar encouraged the graduates to embrace innovation and challenge the status quo fearlessly. He said that some of the greatest innovations and breakthroughs have originated from individuals who dare to think differently and are unafraid to challenge existing norms.

In his convocation address, VP Jagdeep Dhankhar's words resonated with the students, inspiring them to embrace their academic achievements and embark on their future endeavors with courage and determination.

"500 million people who opened bank accounts for the first time. Additionally providing 100 million free gas connections to needy households sets a record that cannot be surpassed by others," the Vice President added.
