PM Narendra Modi To Inaugurate 3 IIMs, IITs, 20 KVs And Navodaya Vidyalayas Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will provide a significant boost to the education sector nationwide by inaugurating campuses of several prominent educational institutes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for numerous new educational institutions, totaling Rs 13,375 crore in value. The ceremony will take place in Jammu. According to a release from the Prime Minister’s Office, this inauguration marks a significant stride in the enhancement and development of education and skilling infrastructure nationwide. Among the projects are the permanent campuses of IIT-Bhilai, IIT-Tirupati, IIT-Jammu, the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing in Kancheepuram, the Indian Institute of Skills in Kanpur, and two campuses of the Central Sanskrit University at Devprayag in Uttarakhand and Agartala in Tripura.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate three new IIMs in Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and Visakhapatnam, along with 20 new buildings for Kendriya Vidyalayas and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalayas at various locations. He will also lay the foundation stone for five Kendriya Vidyalaya campuses, one Navodaya Vidyalaya campus, and five multipurpose halls for Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Vijaypur (Samba) in Jammu. The institute, whose foundation stone was laid by the Prime Minister in February 2019, is being established under the Central sector scheme Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana at a cost exceeding Rs 1,660 crore and spread across an area of 227 acres. The hospital boasts 720 beds and includes a medical college with 125 seats, a nursing college with 60 seats, and an AYUSH block with 30 beds.

Notably, Established in 2015 under the Ministry of Education of India, IIM Bodh Gaya has grown from its inaugural cohort of 30 students to accommodate over 1,110 students hailing from 293 cities and 26 states. The institute remains dedicated to academic excellence and inclusive learning, with female students constituting more than 31.67% of the student body.

The campus boasts cutting-edge smart classrooms, envisioning a future-ready learning environment. The library, named 'Pragyata,' serves as a central repository of knowledge, efficiently managing vast resources through Open Source Software. Beyond academic amenities, the campus features a sports complex equipped with modern gym facilities and provisions for badminton, basketball, football, and cricket, enriching student life.
