New Subjects Including AI And Coding To Be Introduced
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced plans to introduce tech-focused subjects such as artificial intelligence, coding, and data science to the curriculum for students in grades 6 to 8. This represents a departure from the current policy, which only offers these courses to students after grade 11.
The change is in line with the National Education Policy 2020, which aims to promote skill-based education and integrate vocational education programs into mainstream education. The hope is that this move will help to eliminate the social stigma attached to vocational education and better prepare students for future careers in technology.
