Jabalpur: Over 100 Govt School Students Hospitalised After Food Poisoning
The students complained of stomach pain and vomiting after having dinner at the joint mess of the school hostel.
More than 100 students from a government school in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh had to be hospitalised with food poisoning after the students had dinner in their school mess, news agency ANI reported an official as saying. Students of the school which is situated in the Rampur Chhapar area of the district started complaining of stomach pain and vomiting after their dinner on Monday night. Following the complaints of the students, the students were sent to the hospital by the school staff and some locals.
“The students of the government school suffered food poisoning after having their dinner in the joint mess of the school hostel on Monday night. The students were sent to the hospital with the help of the school staff, local people and police,” Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Sanjay Mishra was reported as saying by news agency ANI.

Among the students, some were hospitalised at a government hospital near the school and some at a private hospital. Although the condition of the students is now stable, the Chief Medical Officer has said that the children will be kept under observation at the hospital as a precaution and will be discharged by this evening.
