NEET UG 2023 Exam Postponed In Manipur, New Dates To Be Announced Later

The NEET (UG)-2023 exam scheduled to take place in Manipur has been postponed due to the ongoing violence in the state.

NEET UG 2023 Exam Postponed In Manipur: The NEET (UG)-2023 exam for candidates assigned to examination centers in Manipur has been postponed and will be held on a later date, according to a statement by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This decision was taken after MoS Education, Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, wrote to the NTA requesting the possibility of rescheduling the exam due to the prevailing situation in Manipur. The NTA has not yet announced a new date for the exam for the affected candidates.

MoS Education Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh said, "In Manipur, because of the current situation, students cannot appear for NEET (UG)-2023 exam because of broadband and internet connectivity issue. So, I requested the NTA to reschedule or postpone the exam for exam centres in the state. NTA has circulated a notification about the postponement of the exam at centres in Manipur."

The NEET UG 2023 exam is scheduled to take place across India and 14 cities outside the country, except for Manipur where it has been postponed due to ongoing violence. Around 20,87,449 candidates are expected to appear for the examination. The exam will last for a total of three hours and twenty minutes, during which candidates will be required to answer 180 questions worth a total of 720 marks.
