Yogi Government Hands Over More Than 500 Appointment Letters To Teachers In UP

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has handed out appointment letters to 543 new teachers, highlighting UP's transparent hiring process and merit-based job distribution.

In a significant boost to transparent governance, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday handed over appointment letters to 494 assistant teachers and 49 lecturers at the Lok Bhawan auditorium in Lucknow. These candidates were selected through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Prayagraj.

Speaking at the event, CM Yogi said UP's "fair and transparent recruitment process is a hallmark of the state's new work culture". He said government jobs in Uttar Pradesh are now being awarded purely on merit, without any recommendation, bribery, or bias.

The newly appointed educators expressed deep gratitude, stating that they earned their positions honestly and were committed to teaching with integrity and dedication.

Shailendra Kumar Singh from Ballia, who bagged a lecturer's position, said, "This feels like a dream come true. The process was completely transparent, and I will carry out my duties with honesty." Similarly, Ashish Kumar Singh, appointed as an assistant lecturer in Social Science, also from Ballia, thanked the Chief Minister and said, "This is the first time selection happened without recommendations or any kind of fee."

Preeti Sharma from Aligarh, who has been appointed as an assistant teacher in Arts in Mathura, expressed her gratitude for the "fair selection". Echoing the sentiment, Pooja Yadav from Mau and Ramesh Kumar from Mirzapur also thanked the Chief Minister for the opportunity.

Over 6 Lakh Recruitments Since 2017

Official data shows that over 6 lakh youths have been employed across various departments in Uttar Pradesh since the Yogi government came into power in 2017.

CM Yogi called on the newly appointed teachers to fulfil their responsibilities with dedication, reminding them that the future of children and the nation lies in their hands. He reiterated that today's recruitment model serves as a powerful example for aspiring candidates across the state.
