OSSTET 2023: Registration Process Begins On bseodisha.ac.in

The BSE Odisha is conducting the OSSTET 2023 for the recruitment of school teachers for classes 1 to 8 in Odisha schools.

The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) has started accepting registrations for the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2023. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to appear for the Odisha state-level teachers eligibility test can submit their registration cum application forms for the OSSTET 2023 on the official website - bseodisha.ac.in. 

The last date to apply for the OSSTET 2023 is December 22, 2023, while the last date to pay the application fee for the exam is December 21, 2023. The OSSTET 2023 application fee for General category candidates and Socio Economic Backward Classes (SEBC) is Rs 600, and Rs 400 for SC, ST category candidates. 

Notably, the OSSTET 2023 is being conducted to shortlist teachers for Classes 1 to 5, and Classes 6 to 8, for various government-run schools in Odisha. The BSE Odisha conducts the OSSTET once in a year at the Odisha state level. To apply for the OSSTET 2023, candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in their concerned subject alongside a B.Ed degree. Moreover, candidates must know how to read and write in Odia. 

Candidates may also note that the OSSTET 2023 Exam shall consist of two papers. While the Paper-1 will be held for Classes 1 to 5, Paper-2 will be held for Classes 6 to 8. As per the official OSSTET 2023 document, each of the papers of the exam shall consist of a total 150 marks, and candidates would be allotted a maximum time limit of 2 hours and 30 minutes to answer all questions.

Furthermore, the OSSTET 2023 qualifying marks for General category candidates is 45%, while that for SC, ST, PH or SEBC candidates is 35% of the total marks. For more details on the OSSTET 2023 Exam, candidates are advised to visit the official website.

  • Register online and login again to the portal
  • Fill in the application form with all required details
  • Upload relevant documents
  • Pay the application fee
  • Submit the application 
  • Download the application confirmation page for future reference
