APSC Recruitment 2019: The Assam Public Service Commission has released a notification inviting applications to fill 90 vacancies for the posts of Computer Operator/ Typist in APSC and Child Development Project Officer & allied cadres under Social Welfare Department of the Government of Assam. APSC has hosted the prescribed Application form on its official website apsc.nic.in, and interested candidates must submit the duly filled application form, along with requisite fee and other documents at the Commission’s office on or before 6^th March 2019, addressed to: ‘Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati - 781022’ Vacancy Details: Computer Operator (Typist) in the office of the Assam Public Service Commission – 17 posts Child Development Project Officer & allied cadres under Social Welfare Department – 73 posts Important Dates: Last date for receipt of application– 06^th March 2019 Eligibility Criteria: For the post of Computer Operator – Candidate must have registered himself in Employment Exchanges in the State of Assam. Should have passed Higher Secondary/Class-XII from the Govt. recognized Board/Council. Candidate must have good working knowledge of office productivity software tools (independent of any operating system i.e. MS Windows, Linux, Mac etc.) such as – i) Word Processor, ii) Spreadsheet, iii) Presentation Graphics, iv) Content of Database, v) Internet and vi) E-Mail. Candidates must possess a minimum 6 (six) months completed diploma/certificate in computer proficiency, from a Govt. Of Assam recognized institution (no breaks in qualification admissible) and must have computing knowledge in Assamese and English Language. For the post of Child Development Project Officer & allied cadres under Social Welfare Department the candidate must be a Graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce from a recognized University and in addition any one of the following qualification: a. Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Social Works/ Labour & Social Welfare/ Sociology/ Anthropology/ Criminology. b. Graduate in Child Development/ Home Science/ Nutrition or c. Graduate having Philosophy/ Education with Psychology, Economics. Candidates must read through the official advertisement to ascertain their eligibility before applying. Official advertisement for APSC Recruitment 2019 for 90 Project Officer & Computer Operator Posts Age-Limit: For the post of Computer Operator, the applicant must fall in the age bracket of 18 to 44 years as on 1^st January 2019. For the post of Child Development Project Officer & allied cadres under Social Welfare Department, the applicant must fall in the age bracket of 21 to 38 years as on 1^st January 2019. Age relaxation rules apply as stated in the official advertisement. Pay Scale: For the post of computer operator - The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 14,000-49,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.6,200/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules For the post of Child Development Project Officer & allied cadres under Social Welfare Department – the candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 22,000/- to 87,000/- and Grade Pay Rs. 9,700/- of PB-3 plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules. Application fee: The application fee for general candidates is Rs. 250 and for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC is Rs. 150 payable through a treasury challan. Candidates with BPL certificate are exempted from paying the application fee.
