Approximately 94 per cent of Indian companies today intend to improve their employees' skills and capabilities, with 53 per cent of them aiming to offer online training and development programs in 2024, according to a recent report released on Tuesday by the professional networking platform LinkedIn. The report also highlights that the top three priorities for India's learning and development (L&D) professionals this year include upskilling employees, aligning learning initiatives with business objectives, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Speaking on the report’s findings, Ruchee Anand, Senior Director for Talent, Learning and Engagement Solutions, LinkedIn India, said, "With skills for jobs globally expected to change 68 per cent by 2030, we are seeing a greater emphasis on learning both technical and soft skills with a majority of employers surveyed agreeing that this balance will be critical for organisations to succeed in the age of AI."
