PM Modi Set To Release 20th PM-KISAN Installment Worth Rs 2,000 On July 18: Report

The PM-KISAN scheme provides eligible farmers with financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments each year

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reportedly expected to announce the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PMKSNY) during his upcoming visit to Bihar’s Motihari on July 18. The visit comes as part of his broader outreach ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

During the event, Modi is anticipated to authorize the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of Rs 2,000 to the accounts of more than 9.8 crore eligible farmers across India, as per a Zee News report.

Quarterly Payout Faces Delay This Time

The PM-KISAN scheme provides eligible farmers with financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments each year. The previous installment—the 19th—was disbursed in February, transferring over Rs 22,000 crore to beneficiaries, including approximately 2.41 crore women farmers. While the scheme generally follows a predictable quarterly cycle, beneficiaries experienced delays in the latest round of disbursement.

Ahead of the 20th installment, farmers are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar numbers are linked to their bank accounts and that the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) status is active. Completing e-KYC verification and checking Aadhaar linkage on the PM Kisan Portal are also critical steps for seamless payment processing.

Steps To Check PM-KISAN Payment Status And Beneficiary List:

  • Visit the official website: Go to pmkisan.gov.in.
  • Navigate to the “Village Dashboard” section on the homepage.
  • Select your location details:
  • Choose your State
  • Select your District
  • Choose your Village
  • View the beneficiary reports displayed for your village.
  • Check your name in the list to confirm if you are included as a beneficiary and view your payment status.

How To Update Land Details Online

To update land ownership or address, farmers need to go to the ‘State Transfer Request’ section under the Farmers Corner on the portal. Using their Aadhaar or registration number, they can verify their identity via OTP and upload necessary land documents before submitting the changes online.

With the scheme continuing to be a lifeline for small and marginal farmers, the upcoming installment is expected to bring financial relief amid rising input costs and weather uncertainties.
