Mumbai: Congress leader's son buys luxury apartment in Worli for Rs 100 crore

New Delhi: Ajeenkya Patil, son of Congress leader and former Bihar Governor DY Patil, has reportedly purchased a triple duplex apartment at Mumbai’s Worli's Silverene Terrace for nearly Rs 100 crore. The sprawling sea-facing property in the 23-storey building covers a part of the 21st floor, 22nd and the 23rd floor. According to ET, the property has been registered in the name of Patil's firm called AIPS Real Estate and the signatory is one of the firm's directors, Rajesh Raorane. "The property was bought for around Rs 95.4 crore and the stamp duty was around Rs. 4.7 crore," a source was quoted by the paper. On-going real estate slump has not deterred the rich shots to buy property at such a price and Worli steadily is again turning out to be a sought after property destination. Recently, Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli bought a 7,171-sq-ft sea-view apartment on 35th floor of tower C of realty developer Omkar Realtors & Developers’ residential project Omkar 1973. One of the luxury pads in the tower also is also home to his friend and teammate Yuvraj Singh who has bought one on the 29th floor.
