Delhi Budget 2022 Likely To Be Presented In March, Focus On New Jobs, Economic Progress

Manish Sisodia said the roadmap for Delhi's economic progress and providing employment opportunities will be made as per the suggestions of traders and young residents of the state.

Delhi Budget News: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday said that the Budget of Delhi for the 2022-23 financial year will present a roadmap for the capital's economic progress with a special focus on creating employment opportunities.

He said the decision was taken after the Delhi government received suggestions from Delhiites for the upcoming budget. 

Delhi Budget Likely By March

Several suggestions include creation of a new Special Economic Zone (SEZ), developing Delhi as an IT hub and involving unskilled workers. People also suggested that SEZ has tie-ups with government and private universities to ensure a sufficiently skilled and learned workforce in the industry. The Delhi Budget 2022-23 is likely to be presented at the end of March.

'Roadmap Prepared With Traders' Inputs

Manish Sisodia, who is also in charge of the Finance Ministry in the Delhi government, said the roadmap for Delhi's economic progress and providing employment opportunities will be prepared as per the suggestions of traders and young residents of the state. Due to demonetisation and the pandemic, economy of Delhi has slowed down. Due to the prolonged lockdown, the business has been severely impacted.
