Volkswagen Tiguan R To Come As A Fully Loaded Premium SUV With 300 Units In First Batch

Volkswagen will bring 300 units of its Tiguan R in the first batch in India as its launch is planned for April 14 with pre bookings open. Speaking to Brand Director, Ashish Gupta, he said that the Tiguan R would be a fully loaded model as the Indian market has evolved and customers want all features. The Tiguan R along with the Golf GTI will take forward the performance image of Volkswagen, he also said.

This would be the entry of the new generation Tiguan R and this is the performance oriented version. Coming to India as an import, the new Tiguan R will come with a more powerful 265hp, 2.0l turbo petrol engine along with the R-Line design including sportier elements. Even compared to other higher priced luxury SUVs, the Tiguan R has more power while the performance would be the highlight. We will know more about the spec at the launch but the new generation Tiguan R will come with proper sport seats and a larger touch screen along with a digital instrument cluster plus the usual luxury features that one can expect at this price. The earlier generation model was never sold with the R-Line while now for the first time, we will have the Tiguan R in India.
