Tata Punch EV Launched: Check Price, Range, Features

The faster Punch EV goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 sec and has an electronically capped top speed of 140 kmph.

Tata.ev launched its Punch EV on Wednesday based on its new architecture. It is the first product based on its new EV architecture, acti.ev. The Punch EV starts from Rs 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.4 lakh for the top-end Long Range (LR) version.

There are two battery packs. One is the 25 kWh battery pack, having a Modified Indian Driving Cycle (MIDC) range of 315 km. The other is a 35 kWh option, which offers an MIDC range of 421 km.

There are also two motor options — a 60 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor, developing 114 Nm torque, and a 90 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor with 190 Nm of torque. The faster Punch EV LR goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 sec and has an electronically limited top speed of 140 kmph. The battery pack and motor of the Punch.ev are IP67 rated and come with a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 km (whichever is earlier).

The Punch.ev LR is available with the option of a 3.3kW and a 7.2 kW AC fast charger. With DC fast charging, it can be powered from 10% to 80% in 56 minutes from a 50 kW DC fast charger.

The Punch EV also gets different EV styling, which is like the new Nexon EV as well with a light bar along with an indicator for charging. It also has a frunk storage space.

The interior is also new with two screens — a 26 cm high-definition infotainment by Harman display and another 26 cm digital display. There is also an illuminated logo at the centre of the two-spoke steering wheel, just like on the new Nexon EV.

Other features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and the Arcade.ev app suite.

It also gets ventilated leatherette seats, an electric sunroof, air purifier with AQI display, paddle shifters, with 4-level Multi-Mode Regeneration, over-the-air software upgrade capabilities, auto headlamps, wireless charging, etc.
