The Thar 3-door also gets a petrol 4x4 and comes with diesel as well as petrol RWD too.

The Thar 3-door cost between Rs 11.6 lakh to Rs 17 lakh plus while these discounts make the deal sweeter. The 3-door Thar also gets a smaller 1.5l diesel engine with the RWD configuration. The Roxx prices meanwhile hover from 12.9 lakh and go till Rs 20.4 lakh. Festive season is when carmakers offer some discounts and the 3-door is now much more appealing while some of the other Mahindra SUVs do not have any discount like the Scorpio N.

The 3-door Thar is more of a lifestyle off-road SUV and will appeal to those who want a 4x4 or an off-roader but not being too big. The price difference between the Roxx and 3-door Thar is about Rs 1.6 lakh while this discount expands that. Bookings for the Roxx meanwhile will open for October 2nd and deliveries will start from 12 October.
