MG Hector BlackStorm India. Here's A Review Of The SUV
Similarly, the Hector BlackStorm in its Starry Black colour looks quite appealing and you will also notice the darkened headlamps, dark chrome grille and the black roof rails plus mirrors
Black is back in vogue and the sudden influx of new special editions of popular SUVs clad in black is very much a sign of changing tastes of new car buyers. Black also suits SUVs much like the Hector BlackStorm as seen here.
We earlier had the Gloster BlackStorm which also was a special edition with a focus on blackened design details.
Similarly, the Hector BlackStorm in its Starry Black colour looks quite appealing and you will also notice the darkened headlamps, dark chrome grille and the black roof rails plus mirrors.
There are red elements though in the mirrors and the all black alloys also have red calipers (wish the 18-inch alloys were bigger though in size).
The all black theme continues on the inside with the removal of chrome and a new all back cabin with tasteful contrast stitching.
We think this looks classier and the silver finish to the centre console is also a nice touch while the black leatherette seats come with BlackStorm embossed.
The cabin design includes the huge portrait 14 inch touchscreen which has now slicker graphics plus a much crisper 360 degree camera display.
Space is huge and the equipment levels are impressive with auto indicators, panoramic sunroof, dual powered seats, in-built apps, smart key, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and more.
The BlackStorm continues to be available with the 1.5 l turbo petrol with CVT and a diesel manual with either 5/6/7 seater combinations.
The petrol CVT remains a nice combination for a smooth, comfortable SUV to drive with being easy to live with despite the large size.
The fuel efficiency is better than the DCT and the soft suspension makes for a comfort oriented SUV.
Overall, the BlackStorm version is a good looking SUV and suits the Hector with prices starting from Rs 21.2 lakh.
