2024 New Renault Kwid Review: Better Value With More Features

The Kwid remains easy to drive and the ground clearance also helps here with a light steering

Renault updated their Kwid hatchback at the starting of this year and brought in some key changes in its variant line-up. One of the big changes though is the introduction of a RXL(O) variant which makes it the most affordable car on sale with a touchscreen plus an automatic AMT.

Plus all variants now have a seatbelt reminder while getting more features as standard. The Kwid has always been about not being a basic car and also not looking like one with its SUV like styling.

In its present avatar it looks more SUV-like with the split headlamp shape plus the healthy 184mm ground clearance. Inside, the 8 inch touchscreen is pretty slick while getting a clear rear camera display while also having a digital cluster.

The Kwid remains easy to drive and the ground clearance also helps here with a light steering. It is compact and is perfect for city use while also tackling bad roads.

The 1.0 petrol is good enough for driving around in the city while getting audible as speeds pile on. It is more of a city commuter and does well while [performance does take a hit with two passengers along with the AC on.

It is more of an efficient city car with some of the SUV DNA sprinkled in while having good equipment levels for the price it comes at.

Importantly it does not feel built to a price and costs Rs 5.4 lakh for the  RXL(O) variant while the top-spec Climber is Rs 5.8 lakh.
