Taking a holy bath, especially on the full moon and new moon days, is considered highly beneficial during the month of Margashirsha. Donating on Amavasya fulfills all desires. It is said that, just as Diwali is celebrated by worshiping Goddess Lakshmi on Kartik Amavasya, worshiping Goddess Lakshmi on Margashirsha Amavasya is considered auspicious.

Benefits of Margashirsha Amavasya Puja:

People with Pitru Dosha in their birth chart or those facing difficulties in having progeny should observe the fast of Margashirsha Amavasya. This observance is believed to bring financial, mental, and physical benefits. Additionally, taking a bath with the roots of the Tulsi plant on this day is recommended, as it pleases Lord Krishna.
