Andhra Pradesh: Woman's Naked Body Found Near School, Police Suspect Rape

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha further announced that CM Naidu has sanctioned an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the victim's family.

The tranquility of Epurupalem village in Bapatla district was shattered on Friday as residents woke up with the tragic discovery of a 21-year-old woman's nude dead body. Police suspect she was raped before being killed. Authorities revealed that the woman, a resident of Epurupalem village, had ventured out for her morning routine near the school, located close to a railway track, but failed to return home.

Found unclothed in the bushes near a girls' high school, the victim's death has sent shockwaves through the community. 

Vakul Jindal, Superintendent of Police for Bapatla district, stated, "The body of a 21-year-old woman was found at a railway track. She went out of her home on 21st June and did not return. The police have registered a case of murder and rape. Investigation is underway, and the accused will be arrested soon."

Home Minister Anitha Visits Epurupalem 

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu swiftly responded to the tragedy by directing Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha to visit the village. Anitha emphasized that there is no room for laxity in bringing the perpetrators to justice and they should be arrested within 48 hours. She further announced that CM Naidu has sanctioned an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the victim's family.

The victim was a seamstress, and her father was a weaver from an underprivileged background, Anitha noted.

According to the victim's family members, they are unaware of any individuals stalking their daughter, nor do they suspect anyone of foul play.
