Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee leaders staged protests at different places in the state by raising slogans "Go Back Modi"
New Delhi: During PM Modi's visit to Andhra Pradesh's Bhimavaram for unveiling Alluri Sitharama Raju's statue on Monday, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee leaders staged protests at different places in the state by raising slogans "Go Back Modi". The police have detained several Congress leaders including APCC Working President Shaik Mastan Vali. Also, in one of their tweets, the INC Andhra Pradesh claimed that only Congress can accord special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
Many workers and leaders including state Congress president Sailajanath were detained by the police. Congress leaders have staged protests demanding to fulfill the promises made by Modi. Also, the party leaders are protesting against the alleged alleged breach of promise by the Center after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Besides this, a Congress leader in a video posted on INC Andhra Pradesh's Twitter handle is seen showing black balloons when PM Modi's chopper took off from Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada.
