Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Releases Rs 542 Crore As Input Subsidy To Farmers
In addition, Rs 29.51 crore had been paid to 1,220 farmer groups today under the YSR Yantra Seva Pathakam Scheme.
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday provided input subsidy to the farmers, who were affected due to heavy rainfall in November, 2021. The government distributed Rs 542.06 crore to as many as 5,97,311 farmers across the state, whose crops were damaged due to heavy rainfall, soil erosion and dune formation.
In addition to this Rs 29.51 crore was provided to 1,220 farmer groups in the state under the YSR Yantra Seva Pathakam Scheme.
A total of Rs 571.57 crore was spent by depositing the amount to the farmers' accounts by Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan.
CM Jagan said, "We are encouraging farmers through the YSR Yantra Seva Scheme. The YSR Rythu Bharosa programme has stood by the farmers for two and a half years by providing them with zero-interest schemes."

The CM further added that rains were abundant after the formation of the YSRCP government in the state. "Groundwater too had increased in Rayalaseema. All reservoirs in AP are brimming. In some places, farmers lost their crops due to heavy rain. The government has always supported the farmers and provided them with compensation."

He also alleged that the previous TDP government in Andhra Pradesh did not provide farmers with input subsidies regularly.
