PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme: Here's How Farmers Can Check PM Kisan Scheme 10th Instalment Benefits

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna: The government has made a major change in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme for farmers and farmers should be aware of it.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna: The 12 crore farmers who are beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme will now have to undertake a different procedure to check their status as compared to earlier.

What Is The Change

Earlier, farmer-beneficiaries could get information about application status through their mobile number on the official website of the PM Kisan Nidhi Scheme.

Additionally also the details of the amount deposited in the bank accounts of farmers under the PM Kisan Nidhi Scheme use to be available to them. However, changes have been made in it and now farmers will be able to know the status only through their Aadhaar and bank accounts.

Due to the major changes made by the government in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, it will now have an impact on more than 12 crore registered farmers. Until now, farmers could check their status through mobile number after registration.

Now farmers will not be able to view their status through mobile number and they will have to provide some other details along with the Aadhaar number and only then any significant information related to the scheme will be available to them.

Why These Changes Have Been Made

The government has changed the rule because so far any farmer can enter his mobile or account number on the PM Kisan portal and get to know the status of his instalment, but this also enables others to get information about the instalment of farmers just by entering their mobile numbers.

There were also reports of misuse of this easy method because of which the government now has allowed it to be known only by entering the Aadhaar number.

10th Instalment Already In Accounts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the transfer of the amount of Rs. 2000 of the 10th instalment to the farmers' account on January 1 under the PM Kisan Yojana. Now if the farmers want to know the details of the money deposited in their account then they will have to follow this process

Visit pmkisan.gov.in website

  • Click 'Kisan Corner' on the right side of the website
  • Now click on the 'Beneficiary Status' from the options
  • To view the status, you need to enter some details like Aadhaar number, bank account and mobile number
  • You can find out if your name is on the list or not after you have completed this process.

What Is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme?

Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 6000 is provided annually to the beneficiary farmer families. It is given in three equal instalments of Rs. 2000 each and deposited into the account of farmers at an interval of 4 months. The amount is sent directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
