This practice signifies a communal prayer for a prosperous crop.
"Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, while managing the responsibilities of Chhattisgarh state, is also adeptly handling his familial duties," the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said in a press statement.
CM Sai was seen in traditional farming attire, wearing a turban and carrying a basket of paddy seeds. He scattered the seeds across the fields. "This ritual is an age-old tradition in our region, performed before sowing seeds to pray for a bountiful harvest," he said during the event.
