BJP’s Sanjeev Singh won Jharia assembly seat in 2014 Jharkhand Assembly Elections by a margin of 33692 votes. Runner-up Niraj Singh of INC bagged 40370 votes. Third position was held by MCO's Md. Rustam Ansari. Fourth came Yogendra Yadav while Nandlal Paswan of CPM got the fifth spot.
