We argued in court that Salman Khan's security is at stake inside the jail: Lawyer
While talking to ABP News, Salman Khan's lawyer said that they argued in Jodhpur Sessions court that there is a threat to Salman Khan's security inside the jail.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was awarded a 5-year jail term by a court here on Thursday in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The 52-year-old was found guilty under Section 9/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 for killing two blackbucks, an endangered species, hunting of which is prohibited by law.
The court in the morning acquitted others actors namely - Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam. As per sources, the rest of the stars were let off owing to lack of evidence. The actors were travelling with Salman on the intervening night of October 1-2, 1998 when he allegedly killed the two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur. All of them were in the state for movie shooting of 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.
