We are preparing for an additional pumping: Principal Secretary(UDD), Patna

Principal Secretary Urban Development Department Chaitanya Prasad said that level of logged water has gone down as we have prepared for additional pumps and this amount of rainfall has never happened before.  Several parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were reeling from floods following incessant showers over the past few days. The flood situation in Bihar has worsen after heavy rains over the weekend lashed the northern state of India and hit most of the population living in the region. 

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed 19 teams in 14 districts of Bihar and has evacuated more than 4,000 people including women, patients, children and elderly and shifted to the safer places by NDRF in Patna.
