Saudi Arabia imposed a 24-hour curfew on Mecca and Medina as a precautionary measure against the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. This move is seen as the Saudi Arabia government's bid to push the idea of 'social distancing' in the Islamic world. Mecca and Medina are two of the holiest cities in Islam. Saudi Arabia has seen over 1800 cases of Covid-19.
