WB Polls likely to be held in 5 to 7 phases, Dates for 5 States to be announced by EC today

Assembly elections are due in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Union Territory of Puducherry and Kerala in the next two to three months. There will be a press conference of the Election Commission at 4.30 pm today. There are 294 assembly seats in this state. Presently, there is a Trinamool Congress government and Mamata Banerjee is the Chief Minister. In the last election, Mamata's TMC won the highest 211 seats.
