Uddhav Thackeray: Journey from 'Kingmaker' to a 'King'

Uddhav Thackeray, the probable CM of Maharashtra started his political career in 2002 by winning BMC elections. In 2003 he became Executive Chairman of the party and in the consecutive year Balasaheb Thackeray declared him as his political heir. In 2012 after his father's demise he became the party chief. In 2014 his party his party contest elections separately from BJP and in 2019 both parties came together again and won 41 seats. He broke the alliance with BJP over 50-50 formula and now formed an alliance with NCP and Congress.
