Shimla covered in white blanket despite mellow sunshine

Though a mellow sunshine was witnessed in Shimla which saw a record dip in its temperature last night, a blanket of white could still be seen covering most of its areas.  Snow could be seen in several areas of Shimla like the Mall Road, the Ridge, the US Club and Jakhu hills.Parts of upper Shimla were largely cut off on the second day with heavy snow piled on roads.

Its nearby destinations like Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda also experienced moderate to heavy snowfall in the past 24 hours.
