SC starts hearing petitions over Shaheen Bagh protesters
Supreme Court starts hearing the petitions seeking appropriate directions to the Centre and others for removal of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protesters from Shaheen Bagh, near Kalindi Kunj. SC observes if Shaheen Bagh protesters can be persuaded not to block roads. The apex court also said that protesting is a fundamental right. Senior advocate Sanjay Hedge has been appointed Interlocutor for Shaheen Bagh.
