SC refuses to put stay on CAA, asks Centre to file response

Supreme Court of India has refused to pass any interim order on the application of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The 3 judge bench headed by CJI Bobde has asked Centre to file a response to all the petitions against CAA within 4 weeks. The bench also said that no fresh plea will be entertained in the case after today. The apex court will decide at a later date whether a Constitutional bench of the court is needed in the case.
